Pop, Pop, and more POP!

What up world,
Well, it's good to be back here for another week of Ollie Pop's "Grind Some" news!
First off, we have some sweet team updates for you guys.
In the silver state, it was Ollie Poppers DM/AM skating 1-2 at the Retaks Expressions latest tour stop. David Mackay took top-spot on the mini-ramp with Antonio Moya as the 1st runner-up. So give it up for the mega-vegas shredderz! Speaking of desert rides.. Spencer Lau took the course at the PHX AM with some new choppers - "new" because well you can see here... look for S-Lau at the 4:40 mark in his striped top and well you can see that Spring Fling in Kona kind of flopped :( And um speaking of "oops", he did it again - Ryan Conners took 1st place, making it his third consecutive 1st place win in a row! If you ask me, homie's on fire! This time, it was at the Monster series in Grover Beach. Make sure you give these guys a shout out for all their hard work. Ryan isn't only doing work at all the comps he's in, he is also making it happen cause to save the ocean. To learn more about what Ryan is doing check out the latest issue of Novus Swell. There is a whole article about Ryan's cause and what you can do to help. Speaking of causes we'll be front some Ollie Pop to the FMX world in support of our lost friend, Jeremy Lusk, RIP with the Lusk Legacy Charity Poker Tournament next Wednesday April 15 at Pechanga Resort in Temecula. And what up with the POP and Poker --- crazy in that our friends at Full Tilt are bootlegging OP to their events and 2 time WSOP bracelet winner Jennifer Harman is all about the Watermelon. No worries JH - we gots some fresh POP coming out to you for your Charity Poker Tournament that benefits the Nevada SPCA.
For all of you rippers that want a chance to show what you got and get some sponsorship chances, Central Valley AM JAM has just posted up the dates for their upcoming comps. Check it out and if you are there don't be square - get out and skate!
So that’s about it. if you’re dying for some Ollie Pop and the homies at your shop say "no way".. you know the drill – dial 1-800-446-1787 and tell us where you be so we can rally the pop-ulation to get that shop some pop! Thanks guys, now GO GRIND SOME!!!

Another Week, Another Blog!

What's up homies!

How you doin'? Welcome back for another shredtastical rev of “Grind Some” news!

Before we get rolling, a compelling quote from an anonymous genius for all of you. So the quote goes “Does your nose run? Do your feet smell? If so, you're upside down.” Sorry, I saw that this week end and just gotta kick out of it.

Anyways, a lot of exciting things going on the haps from the home office in C-Bad. Be on the look out for a new flavor to our Ollie Pop menu we aim to have it up and running by end of summer. Subscribe to this blog or frequent the relatively new Ollie Pop website for news on the new taste. If you haven't already, you should definitely go check out the new Website. It is all tricked out with the latest and greatest! Go read up and educate yourselves in the world of Pop! Find out news about the team, watch videos, and show your love! We will have the shop locator up soon, that way, at anytime you can find a Pop dealership near you! In the mean time, check out Ollie Pop at Raw Skin Surf Shop in Carlsbad, CA. The place is dope! So make sure you stop by and check out the shop and get yourself some Pop while your at it. Also, oh thank Heaven for 7-Eleven(s) like D-Street at PCH in Encinitas they got POP and the 7-Eleven on Oak St in Carlsbad! – both of them them and our good neighbors at West Mart off Cannon in C-bad!

As for upcoming events, Sarge and his peops up at Underwood Skatepark in PA, are hosting a contest on March 28th. It is called the Paddy Skate Jam and they’ll put on an Ollie Pop Sponsored High Ollie contest with 50 bucks getting shelled out to whoever wins!!! So start practicing your pop! Underwood is also freshly stocked with Ollie Pop, so make sure you pick some up while your there, that way you can get that extra pop that you're going to need for the comp.
Speaking of events we double booked ourselves on March 14th 2009 by hitting the Clash at Clairemont with Ollie Pop sponsorship of the best trick contest being judged by Ryan Sheckler; while at a close enough time we are holding a High Ollie Contest up at Mount Baldy, so get out your scarfs and mittens and come join us for that too!
On a more Environmental Activist note, our very own Ryan Connors is being featured in a few different places for his great, environmental cause. Ryan is a classic case of a little guy with a big heart. As you read this, Ryan is doing his part in saving our ocean and protecting those creatures who inhabit it. You can learn more about his cause at Freestyle.com. Go show him some love and help support his cause!
Thanks for stopping by for this week's Grind Some news! Let us know if your local skate shop doesn't carry Ollie Pop, just give us their name and a basic location
and we will give them a call. And as a side note, we have been calling some of the skate shops that you guys have suggested and some of them think
that they are too cool or too hard core. So, if that is the case, just tell us where you live and we will call the nearest 7-11 and try to get it in there for you.
We will do our very best to make sure that you have complete access to buy your Ollie Pop. Thanks guys, now you know what to do.......... GO SKATE!!!
